The tri-weekly Sabarmati Express is a mail-express train that links Ahmedabad (station code ADI) to Darbhanga (station code DBG) in Bihar. The train traverses the distance of 1948 km in 46 hours and 25 minutes, thus giving it an average speed of 41 km/hr. The train halts at as many as 67 stations on the way, while there are 286 stations on the route. On The Banks Of Sabarmati;

The 19166 Sabarmati Express starts from Darbhanga at 4.30 am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays and reaches Ahmedabad at 4.00 am on the third day. Poor Cleanliness;
The Sabarmati Express has 22 coaches, including four general unreserved coaches, 13 sleeper coaches, an AC coach, two AC two-tier coaches, and two SLR coaches. The cleanliness of the train is poor, and so is punctuality. There is no pantry car. The food available on the way is of poor quality. The train is not good from the safety point of view as well.
