Did you know about the first Gold train that Indian Railways has introduced recently? Want to know about India’s first Gold standard train been launched by Indian Railways? This post will give you details over the same. On 6th of November, 2017 on Monday, Indian Railways has introduced its first ever Gold, also known as ‘Swarn’ train. As per the sources, New Delhi – Kathgodam Shatabdi express was supposed to be the first that is going to be introduced as the integral part of Indian Railways Gold standard or ‘Swarn’ project, which was about a 25 crore project. Also, this project aims to renovate and revive India’s premium running trains involving 15 Shatabdi and 15 Rajdhani trains.

 

As per the information, all these trains are supposed to be getting a new makeover and complete renewal with a costing factor of about Rs. 50 Lakh each. The trains are going to be backed with all latest and advanced kind of facilities and amenities such as latest trolley service or on-board entertainment facility for catering, clean toilets, new coach interiors, and more, automatic doors and such for the ease and convenience of travellers. The security will also be at its extreme level and enhanced as RPF personnel will be deployed in them along with CCTV cameras and other safety and security measures. The focus of these trains is always on punctuality and as per the information; Indian Railways has also introduced and provided so many options and new additions for the travellers in the catering menu to enjoy.

 

This ‘Swarn’ or gold standard train project was been introduced during the tenure of honourable and respected Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu. The focus of this project was always on three major core arenas including hygiene, aesthetics and entertainment. And to meet the same motto and purpose, the train interiors were redone, along with many other features like availability of hi-speed Wi-Fi hotspot and installation of odour control systems in all the coaches.
