The station:
During the partition in the year 1947, the tracks here were badly disturbed and hence the station had lost its significance also. The major line was lost as many areas were lost due to the partition of Bengal. In a few years, the department restored the station and made it functional again. Today the station is operated by the North East Frontier Railway.
