Vasai Road is a city located in Western India. The interested tourist can get into this city by using roadways or railways. If the person travels from the Mumbai / Thane route, then he can take Western Railways through Dadar / Andheri, boarding the Virar bound train.
Getting into the city
If he plans to go to the city by road from Mumbai, then it is pretty simple by using the Western Express Highway, driving straight into Ahmadabad – Gujarat Highway. The time taken for driving up to Vasai from Borivali is about an hour. People commuting from Vashi or Thane could take Ghodbunder Road for joining the Ahmadabad – Gujarat Highway. Visiting Vasai and not having the food here is indeed something huge that the tourist would miss out on. The most famous fruit here is the banana, which is a must have. The popular dish here is the Chicken Bujing (with the ingredients being fried potatoes, fried poha and chicken and other materials). Wada Pav is another specialty of the region.
