Summers are the time when you can see maximum rush on the railway stations. More and more people plan their vacations during the summer seasons in correspondence to school holidays. However, people find it a pain to book tickets for trains especially if you have not planned your vacations in advance. Though many airlines give special deals and discounts on the air fares but still trains are the most preferred mode of transport between cities in India.

Indian Railways have been the backbone of India for more than 100 years. Many people still depend on Indian railways to travel from one place to another. The reason being it is still a cheaper way of travelling with various benefits like senior citizen benefit or handicap benefit. If you are travelling with children you don’t have to pay for their full tickets. Apart from being cheap, they are also very convenient because of the various travel classes in the train. The more you pay the better you travel.

Apart from travelling to up hills in North, many people even travel towards the Central zone of India which is Maharashtra and Konkan region. Hence, the Central Railways have decided to run special trains during the summer season. This is done to clear maximum rush and more and more people could travel during these months.
