No More Worries about Train Bookings during Summer Holidays

IRCTC (Indian Railway catering and Tourism Corporation) in conjunction with Indian Railways have achieved various marks it in the history of Indian Railways. With the commencement of online web based booking portals to now smart-phone apps, everything has been automated to make the whole experience quite convenient and easy. It was years ago when people had to stand in long queues for hours to get one ticket booked at a time. Now with the help of online web portal you can easily book six tickets at one time. Apart from booking tickets you can also cancel and reschedule your tickets via the online portal.

To add more convenience, Indian railways have joined hands with many online portals to deliver food in the train. Now you don’t have to eat the boring food served in the train all time, especially if you are a frequent traveller. You can easily now select your choice of food and can get it delivered hot and fresh directly on your seats. IRCTC is constantly endeavouring to achieve new milestones every year and hence to cater to more number of passengers this year, IRCTC has announced starting of summer special trains in 2016 through North India.

What is summer special train?

Summer sees the maximum number of passengers travelling from every part of the country. Many families plan their holidays during summer with the beginning of summer holidays in school. Hence, people start making their bookings from the month of March so that can easily get the confirmed bookings on the train. In lieu of this rush, the government have decided to start summer special trains that will cater to passengers travelling during these months.

Various northern Railway zones have announced running of summer special trains to cater to the extra rush of passengers during the summer holiday months. These trains will be running across the intricate rail networks of Northern India. The service will be applicable during the months of April, May and June 2016 connecting Delhi to Northern states of India. All these trains will run under Northern Railway. Below is the list of trains that would be running:-

Summer Special Trains 2016 Connecting Delhi to Jammu & Kashmir
