  • Bhimbetka: – Bhimbetka is a world heritage site and is located around 40 km from the city. The caves here were founded during the years 1957 to 1958 by an archaeologist, Dr. Vishnu Wakankar.   • Raisen Fort: – This fort is 45 km away from the city Bhopal and is very old. Made during the 6th century, this is placed on top of hills and has many palaces, lakes, ponds and temples. There were around 84 lakes, which are now narrowed down to 15 only. The fort has rich history and has played a major role in many battles.
