Thrissur initially Thirusivapperoor and formerly referred to by its anglicized structure as Trichur, is the 4th biggest city, the 3rd biggest urban accumulation in Kerala with population of 1,854,783 and the twentieth biggest in India. Along with all this it is also head office of the Thrissur District. The City is constructed around a sixty five acre of land called the Thekkinkadu Maidan where the Vadakkumnathantemple is located and is found 300 kilometers near north-west of the capital Thiruvananthapuram.
Thrissur is also popular as the Cultural Capital of Kerala due to its traditional, mystical and spiritual bending all through history. The city has the Thrissur Pooram celebration, the most bright and breathtaking temple celebration and carnival in Kerala. During April- May this festival occurs and takes place at Theekkinkadu Maidan. Thrissur has an expansive number of well-known temples involving the temples like Vadakkumnathan, Paramekkavu and Shri Krishna Temple.

Railway Station of Thrissur (TCR) –
In Thrissur the south railway zone of Indian Railway works as the main railway transport system. A-1 type station placed in Thrissur city in Kerala, India. It has been one of the busiest stations of Kerala, 80 sets of train pass through this station; it has been announced in 2013.It is laid on Shoranur – Cochin Harbor busy section.It holds three satellite station, Punkunnam Railway Station, Ollur station and Mulankunnathukavu station; the last two stations are the minor one.
The station holds four platforms and two doors;the main entrance is from east side and the second one at west side which was inaugurated in 2010. The station can be effortlessly reachable from Kottappuram side and from bus stand.
Food of the Thrissur Railway Station –
Naturally, Thrissur Hindus are not vegetarian; only few people are there who love vegetarian food. Muslims and Christians, who are prevalently non-vegans, utilize fish and meat.
