Ratnagiri Railway Station – RN

The Ratnagiri Railway Station (station code Rn) is an important station in the Konkan Railway’s Ratnagiri Division in Maharashtra. Nearly every train running on Konkan Railway stops at the station. The Konkan Railway trains have two time tables – a monsoon time table from June 1 to October 31 and the regular time table. In monsoon, the trains run at reduced speeds because of the possibility of landslides and rain. The regular timetable has the trains running at speeds between 110 kmph and 130 kmph. Ratnagiri has almost 60 trains running every day from its three platforms. The Karbude tunnel, 5 km from Ratnagiri, is one of the longest tunnels in Asia, with a length of 6608 meters.
