Central Railways announces a long list of summer special trains!

Like all the other railways, Central Railways too announced 144 special summer trains that will help reduce the extra rush during this vacation season. All these special trains will run from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Nagpur, LTT to Karmali, Dadar to Bhusaval, Dadar to Zarap and Dadar to Sawantwadi.

1. The LTT to Nagpur weekly superfast special will be leaving the former station at 12:45 am every Sundays on April 3rd till June 26th. This train will return from Nagpur at 9:15 pm every Sundays on April 3th to June 36th. The train halts are several important stations like Thane, Nasik Road, Kalyan and many others.   1. The LTT to Karmali special will be leaving the LTT station at 1:10 am every Fridays that is the 1st April till the June 3rd. This will return back on the same day and will be in action till June 3rd.

1. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus to Ernakulam Junction train will be running every Thursday from 14th April to 2nd June. This will leave from CST station at 8:30 Pm. This train will return from Erankulam to CST every Friday. The train is already in action from March 15th and will be running till 3rd June. This train will be halting at several important stations like Thane, Dadar, Roha, Panvel, Ratnagiri, Mangalore Jn, Tirur, Kannur, Sawantwadi Road and many other railway stations.

  1. Another train will be running from CST station at 1:10 Pm every Sunday from the 17th of April to the 5th of June. This train will be reaching Chennai Central the next day at the same time. The train will return from Chennai Central at 4:00 Pm on Mondays from 18th of April till the 6th of June. This train is scheduled to halt at Thane, Lonavala, Kalyan, Dadar, Pune, Solapur, Wadi, Yadgir, Muddanur, Perambur and several other important railway stops.

Eastern Railways to have 32 pairs of summer exclusive trains!

The summer time always calls for travelling due to summer vacations. The Indian Railways has started a number of special summer trains for this season. The Eastern Railways is going to run 32 pairs of exclusive trains across their routes. There will be 12 pairs, which will be going through the New Jalpaiguri to Howrah route and 13 pairs will be going through the Kamakhya to Sealdah route. The rest 7 pairs will be running through the Kolkata to Alipurduar route.

Here are some details regarding all these special trains: –

1. The Howrah to New Jalpaiguri weekly superfast special train will be leaving the Howrah station at 11:55 pm on every Wednesday on April 6th and June 22; all these trains will be running until June 22nd. The train from New Jalpaiguri will begin at 12:35pm on Thursdays on April 7th and June 23rd.

  1. The Sealdah to Kamakhya weekly super special train will be leaving the former station at the same time as the Howrah train and it is already in action since 1st April. It will run on Fridays and will be in action till June 24th. The Kamakhya train will start at 8:10 pm on every Saturday on April 2nd and June 25th. Not just the eastern railway, but the East Coast Railway too will be running nine pairs of special weekly trains to avoid the rush during the summertime. The special trains will be going through these routes: –

  • The Bhubaneswar to Krishnarajpuram bi-weekly train will be leaving the former station at 11:50 pm on Wednesdays and Saturdays. This train will reach the latter station the next day. These trains will run from April 6th to June 25th and the return trains will run every Money and Friday which is the April 8th and June 27th.
  • The Sambalpur to Yesvantpur weekly special will be leaving Sambalpur at 11:00 am on Wednesdays and will reach the last stop the next day. This train will run from April 6th to June 22nd. The return direction train will be from Yesvantpur till Bhubaneswar, which will run on April 8th and June 24th.
  • The Puri to Santragachhi weekly train will run from April 6th to June 29th and the return train will run from April 7th to June 30th.
  • The Kochuveli to Guwahati weekly special train will be running every Sunday from April 3rd to June 26th and the return will run from April 6th to June 29th.
  • A weekly special train will be running from Shalimar to Puri, and this train will only be in action for April 22nd. This train will return from Puri station on April 23rd.So go ahead and make your train bookings right away!

Northern Railways set to run summer special trains!

According to the Indian Railways, the best way to avoid any kind of rush is to introduce a variety of weekly special trains, which will run till the month of June. While Central, Eastern and East Coastal railway are already scheduled with their weekly trains, the Northern Railway is also set to run a few trains. Most of these trains will be running from Old Delhi or New Delhi to different cities and states. Here is a list of all the information you need: –

  • The Old Delhi to Shri Mata Vasihno Devi Katra to Old Delhi, tri-weekly special trains will begin from April 2nd to June 30th. These trains will make a total trip of 78 times up and down. The train will leave from Old Delhi station at 11:5 pm on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. The train will return on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays from April 3rd to July 1st.
      • A special bi-weekly summer train, which will be superfast will run from New Delhi to Mumbai Central and return to New Delhi. Another train will be running from Ahmedabad to Delhi Sarai Rohilla to Ahmedabad, which is soon going to launch.

      • A set of trains from New Delhi, Haridwar, Lucknow, Chandigarh and Ferozepur are also going to add to this Northern Railways list to clean up the extra rush at all these stations during the vacation period. The New Delhi to Kathgodam to New Delhi train will run every Thursdays from April 7th to April 30th. The train will stop at stations like Ghaziabad, Rampur, Moradabad, Lalkuan and several other stations.

      • The New Delhi to Haridwar to New Delhi train will be available every day of the week except on Tuesdays and Fridays. The frequency of this train is pretty good and can be helpful to the passengers. This train will begin from 2nd April and will run till 30th April.

      • The New Delhi to Barauni special train will be running on Tuesdays and Friday, which is already in action. This train will run until June 28th. It will return from Barauni on Wednesdays and Saturdays. You can make your bookings in advance for this train and wait for the Indian railway PNR confirmation. With the increase in trains, it is obvious that more and more passengers will take the train and avoid buses.

      • Another train will be going from Gorakhpur to Anand Vihar. This weekly special will be leaving the former station on Fridays on April 8th till June 24th. The train will return on Saturdays on April 9th till the June 15th.
